Willow animals – Bristol
A great week of weaving ‘deer on the lawn’ at Downs School. I worked with years 4, 5, 6 and 7 over two and a half days, we wove our own frames for the animals and the pupils were responsible for thinking about proportion and shape whilst concentrating on weaving for strength.  Â

Festival decorations – Priddy
Two days working in a Priddy’s tiny school to make decorations for the marquees at Priddy Folk Festival next week.  Previously I have worked at the festival making willow fish but these two days involved all the pupils making willow flowers as well as colourful tissue paper and willow flowers.
Sweet pea support group – Shepton Mallet
Willow structures, garden focal point and support for sweet peas.
Shepton in Bloom
I have made a solid woven 3.5 meter ‘willow flower tower’ as part of Shepton in Bloom 2010. The tower, surprisingly heavy and only just fitting on my car roof rack, provides a focal point to the bottom of Town Street as well as a sense of fun and a reminder to Somerset’s willow growing tradition. Â
