10 butterflies, 5 fish, 3 deer and a cow! I am not sure that I have been involved with the making of so many beasts in such short succession before, it has been fun although my fingers are looking rather worse for wear.
Yesterday I worked with a very motivated group of Learning Support Assistants, they were all new to weaving and were given the task of making a willow cow! (to reflect the local environment of the school). The sun came out and the task was embraced with an enthusiasm which grew stronger as the day progressed – what a pleasure for me! By the end of the afternoon the cow was complete with a bell and a daisy in her mouth!
