It is nearly finished and my fingers are having a couple of days rest – well not really as today was another day of dragonflies but this time at Strode College. I have designed, installed and woven (with the help of some Palace volunteers) a 12 meter dragon. The dragon forms a spectacular finish to a new children’s trail at the Bishops Palace in Wells. Children will look for clues around the Palace and when they discover the dragon, in the tucked away arboretum, they will tie a colourful ribbon on the dragon’s wings.
The dragon is the biggest sculpture I have made to date and it has been a very exciting project in the most beautiful of locations – I love the Palace gardens!
